O filme conta a história de Steven (Farrell), um cardiologista carismático, que é forçado a fazer um sacrifício inimaginável depois que sua vida começa a desabar, quando o comportamento de um adolescente (Keoghan), filho de um ex-paciente de Steven, se torna sinistro.

Quando eu vi um filme de Yorgos Lanthimos pela primeira vez, que foi o excelente e hilário O Lagosta, indicado a Melhor Roteiro Original em 2017, eu pensei: “Isso é tão Black Mirror (série original da Netflix)!”. Aí, eu fui olhar a filmografia inteira dele, e só pelas sinopses, já pensei: “O cinema grego é maluco demais.”. É só levar em conta os filmes “Dente Canino”, de Lanthimos, “Miss Violence”, de Alexandros Avranas, e “Attenberg”, de Athina Rachel Tsangari, para julgar que o cinema grego é bem artístico, mas também bem estranho. (Risos) Mas aí temos os filmes americanizados de Lanthimos: O Lagosta e este que eu vou avaliar agora. Os roteiros dos dois são escritos por Lanthimos e Efthymis Fillippou, e os dois são estrelados por Colin Farrell. Os títulos dos filmes de Lanthimos normalmente tem algo a ver com o enredo: Dente Canino (uma família eremita decide que um só pode sair de casa se o dente canino cair), O Lagosta (o protagonista quer ser transformado em uma lagosta se os 45 dias dele no hotel acabarem), mas o que diabos O Sacrifício do Cervo Sagrado tem a ver com o enredo do filme? Depois de ver o filme inteiro, fiz uma pesquisa e entendi por que. Digamos que as raízes gregas de Lanthimos estão presentes aqui. A direção de Lanthimos é muito boa, o diretor sabe quando fazer os espectadores ficarem desconfortáveis, o roteiro vencedor do prêmio de Melhor Roteiro em Cannes de Lanthimos e Fillippou é tão bizarro quanto o de O Lagosta, criando personagens psicologicamente instáveis e uma atmosfera sinistra. A trilha sonora clássica sabe quando ser posta em cenas que necessitam dela. As atuações do elenco principal, constituído por Farrell e Kidman, estão maravilhosas, porém quem fica com o holofote é o irlandês Barry Keoghan, de “Dunkirk”. O personagem dele é, de longe, o mais interessante do filme, e não me surpreenderia se ele ganhasse uma indicação a Melhor Ator Coadjuvante. O final é tão subjetivo quanto o de O Lagosta, possui várias interpretações, isso já está virando uma marca registrada de Lanthimos.

Brilhantemente roteirizado, soberbamente atuado por seu elenco, e essencialmente grego, “O Sacrifício do Cervo Sagrado” é mais uma pequena obra-prima na lista de filmes de Yorgos Lanthimos, e seu estilo mostra que seu talento não deve ser ignorado.

Adorei!! Recomendo muito esse filme para fãs do gênero e do diretor!! Nota: 8,5 de 10!!

The film tells the story of Steven (Farrell), a charismatic cardiologist, who is forced to make an unthinkable sacrifice after his life begins to crumble, when the behavior of a teenager (Keoghan), son of an ex-patient of Steven's, becomes sinister.

When I first saw a Yorgos Lanthimos film, which in my case was the amazing, hilarious The Lobster, nominated for Best Original Screenplay in 2017, I thought: “This is so Black Mirror-ish!!”. Then, I checked out his entire filmography's plots, and I thought: “Greek cinema is bonkers crazy.”. Just analyze the films “Dogtooth”, by Lanthimos, “Miss Violence”, by Alexandros Avranas, and “Attenberg”, by Athina Rachel Tsangari, and you will be able to judge that Greek cinema is very artistic, but also very weird. (LOL) But then we have Lanthimos' “Hollywood” films: The Lobster and this one I'm reviewing. The screenplays of both films are written by Lanthimos and Efthymis Fillippou, and both those films star Colin Farrell. Lanthimos' film titles normally have something to do with the plot of the film: Dogtooth (a hermit family decides that one should only go out if their dogtooth is out), The Lobster (the protagonist gets turned into a lobster if his 45 days at a hotel come to an end), but what the hell does The Killing of a Sacred Deer has to do with the film's plot? After watching the whole film, I made a research and understood why. Let's just say that Lanthimos' Greek roots are present here. Lanthimos' directing is really good, as he knows when to make the viewers uncomfortable, the Cannes Best Screenplay Award-winning script written by Lanthimos and Fillippou is as bizarre as The Lobster's, creating psychologically unstable characters and a sinister atmosphere. The soundtrack composed by classical music knows when to be put in scenes that need it. The acting of the main cast, composed by Farrell and Kidman, are wonderful, but who really gets the spotlight here is Irish Barry Keoghan, from “Dunkirk”. His character is, by far, the most interesting one in the film, and it wouldn't surprise me if he gets nominated for Best Supporting Actor. The ending is as subjective as The Lobster's, it has many interpretations, which is beginning to be a trademark of Yorgos Lanthimos films.

Brilliantly written, superbly acted by its cast, and essentially Greek, “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” is another small masterpiece in Lanthimos' career, and his style shows that his talent is one not to be ignored.

I loved it!! I highly recommend it to fans of the genre and Yorgos Lanthimos fans!! I give it an 8,5 out of 10!!

Ambientado em uma imensa casa no interior, o filme acompanha um casal: a jovem esposa (Lawrence), que vive restaurando o lugar, que sofreu graves danos ao longo dos anos, e o marido bem mais velho (Bardem), que tenta recuperar a inspiração para voltar a escrever os poemas que o tornaram famoso. Os dias pacíficos se transformam com a chegada de uma série de visitantes que se impõem à rotina do casal e escondem suas verdadeiras intenções.

Darren Aronofsky é um diretor peculiar. Seus roteiros e estilos de direção são tão intensos que travam a mente dos espectadores. Além de “Mãe!”, o único filme que vi dele foi o fantástico “Cisne Negro”, então, quando este foi anunciado, fiquei bem animado com o que estava por vir. Depois de dois cartazes bem enigmáticos mostrando a personagem de Lawrence arrancando o próprio coração e o personagem de Bardem envolto em chamas, eu pensei, “ESSE FILME VAI SER LOUCO DEMAIS!!”. Aí, veio o trailer, que é curto, porém preciso, pois pelo trailer dá pra entender a trama principal. Finalmente, veio o resultado final do filme, que já vou avisando: não é nada igual ao trailer. Quando você estiver assistindo Mãe!, exclua o trailer da sua cabeça, pois é uma experiência totalmente diferente. É um filme bem subjetivo, cheio de alegorias e adereços visuais chocantes. Não diria que é uma obra-prima, mas é um dos melhores filmes do diretor até o momento. A começar com o roteiro super-ultra-mega-blaster cheio de referências escrito por Aronofsky, que na minha opinião, pode render ao menos uma indicação a Melhor Roteiro Original. A fotografia digna de Oscar de Matthew Libatique, conhecido pela fotografia de outros filmes do diretor, como Cisne Negro, ajuda a criar uma atmosfera sinistra que mantém o espectador preso no assento, assim como a ausência de uma trilha sonora. As atuações de Lawrence, Bardem e Pfeiffer estão fantasticamente boas, entregando algumas das melhores performances de suas respectivas carreiras. O filme se desenvolve bem, sabendo o passo certo para revelar uma descoberta importante no enredo, com um final que, só vendo pela sinopse do filme, é meio inesperado.

Visualmente sinistro, narrativamente alegórico e impulsionado por atuações marcantes de seu elenco, “Mãe!” é um grande passo a frente para o diretor Darren Aronofsky, que continua a nos impressionar com seus enredos psicologicamente envolventes.

Adorei!! Recomendo muito!! Nota 8,5 de 10!!

Set in a huge house in the country, the film tells the story of a couple: the young wife (Lawrence), who keeps rebuilding the place, which has suffered severe damage through the years, and the much older husband (Bardem), who tries to retrieve the inspiration to return to write the poems which once made him famous. The peaceful days transform with the arrival of a series of visitors who impose themselves on the couple's routine and hide their real intentions.

Darren Aronofsky is a peculiar director. His screenplays and directing style are so intense they give the viewers' minds a “WTF” thought. Besides “mother!”, the only Aronofsky film I'd seen was the fantastic “Black Swan”, so, when this one was announced, I got really excited for it. After two enigmatic posters featuring Lawrence's character ripping out her own heart, and Bardem's character surrounded by flames, I thought “THIS FILM IS GOING TO BE SO INSANE!”. Then, the trailer came, which is short, but you can understand the main plot. Finally, the final result came in, and I already am telling you, it is nothing like the trailer. When you are watching “Mother!”, delete the trailer from your head, because it is an entirely different experience. It's a very subjective film, filled with allegories and shocking visual props. I wouldn't say it is a masterpiece, but it's one of the director's finest films to date. Starting with the reference-filled super-amazing screenplay written by Aronofsky, which in my opinion, can get at least a nomination for Best Original Screenplay. The Oscar-worthy cinematography work by Matthew Libatique, known for the cinematography from the director's other films, like Black Swan, helps creating an eerie atmosphere that keeps the viewers stuck in their seats, with also the absence of a soundtrack or score. The performances of Lawrence, Bardem and Pfeiffer are spot on, delivering some of the best pieces of acting in their respective careers. The film has a great development, knowing the pace to reveal an important plot point, with an unexpected ending, telling from just the plot.

Visually eerie, narratively allegorical, and boosted by spot-on performances from its cast, “mother!” is a huge step forward by director Darren Aronofsky, who continues to impress us with his psychologically involving plots.

I loved it! I really recommend it! I give it a 8,5 out of 10!!

1891. Um ano após o suicídio de Vincent Van Gogh (Gulaczyk), Armand Roulin (Booth) encontra uma carta por ele enviada ao irmão Theo, que jamais chegou ao seu destino. Após conversar com o pai (O'Dowd), carteiro que era amigo pessoal de Van Gogh, Armand é incentivado a entregar ele mesmo a correspondência. Desta forma, ele parte para a cidade francesa de Auvers-sur-Oise na esperança de encontrar algum contato com a família do pintor falecido. Lá, inicia uma investigação junto às pessoas que conheceram Van Gogh, no intuito de decifrar se ele realmente se matou.

Pra mim, Vincent Van Gogh é o melhor pintor da história. Suas obras são fascinantemente belas, um verdadeiro deleite para os olhos. Houve um episódio da minha série favorita, Doctor Who, que traz Van Gogh como um dos personagens principais, e é um dos meus favoritos da série. Então quando eu vi que haveria um filme do Van Gogh inteiramente pintado, minha animação exponencialmente subiu. E valeu muito a pena. O estilo de animação é bem parecido com o rotoscoping de Waking Life e A Scanner Darkly, ambos de Richard Linklater, mas, sendo pintado, se diferencia desses dois. Só a animação poderia indicar o filme à um Oscar, mas agora inserir uma história de drama com os personagens das obras do Van Gogh como os protagonistas? Isso é simplesmente brilhante! As atuações do elenco, principalmente as de Booth, Flynn e McCrory estão fantásticas, assim como o roteiro assinado pelos dois diretores. Mas o verdadeiro destaque de “Com Amor, Van Gogh” é, definitivamente, o visual. É hipnotizante, colorido, e simplesmente cativante. Acho que esse filme, mesmo com potências como Pixar na disputa, possui chances de levar Melhor Filme de Animação no Oscar 2018, assim como Melhor Trilha Sonora Original, pela trilha mágica e sonoramente linda de Clint Mansell.

Visualmente deslumbrante, sonoramente mágico, e narrativamente agridoce, “Com Amor, Van Gogh” é um verdadeiro tributo à um dos pais da arte moderna, e um que realmente vale a pena sentar e se deleitar de seus curtos, mas maravilhosos 95 minutos de duração!

Amei esse filme demais!!

1891. One year after the suicide of Vincent Van Gogh (Gulaczyk), Armand Roulin (Booth) finds a letter written by the late painter to his brother Theo Van Gogh, which never arrived to its destination. After talking to his father (O'Dowd), a postman and a personal friend of Van Gogh, Armand is asked to deliver the mail himself. So, he travels to the French town of Auvers-sur-Oise in the hope to finding some contact with the late painter's family. There, he initiates an investigation among the people who have met Van Gogh, in a way that he can decipher if the painter had killed himself.

To me, Vincent Van Gogh is the greatest painter in history. His work is fascinatingly beautiful, a true delight to the eyes. There was an episode of my favorite show, Doctor Who, which brings Van Gogh as one of the main characters, and it's one of my favorite episodes in the show. So when I heard there would be an entirely painted Van Gogh film, my excitement went straight up. And it was really worth it. The film's animation style is very much like Richard Linklater's rotoscoping in Waking Life and A Scanner Darkly, but, being a painted film, it differs from those two. Only the animation style could nominate this film to an Oscar, now inserting a dramatic story involving the characters from Van Gogh's work? That is simply brilliant! The cast's performances, especially Booth's, Flynn's and McCrory's are fantastic, a characteristic which also applies to the script written by the two directors. But the true highlight of Loving Vincent is, without a doubt, the visuals. It's hypnotizing, colorful, and simply captivating. I think this film, even with Pixar on the dispute, has chances of winning Best Animated Feature on the 2018 Oscars, and Best Original Score as well, because of the magical and sonorously lovely soundtrack by Clint Mansell.

Visually astounding, sonorously magical, and narratively bittersweet, Loving Vincent is a true tribute to one of the fathers of modern art, and one worth sitting and looking with wonder through its short, but wonderful, 95 minute running time!

I really loved this film!!

I give it a 9,5 out of 10!!

Quando ouvi falar desse filme pela primeira vez, pensei: "Vai ser só mais uma comédia romântica melosa, e cheia de clichês." Mas aí percebi que é baseado em uma história real, a história de Kumail Nanjiani e Emily V. Gordon, que juntos, assinam o roteiro do filme. Então, depois de ver o trailer, fui assistir o filme. Essa é uma daquelas comédias românticas que dão certo, graças à um roteiro brilhante e uma direção bem colocada do veterano e comediante Michael Showalter. As atuações do elenco principal estão fantásticas, com destaque para a de Holly Hunter como a mãe de Emily, sendo uma das principais e mais antecipadas concorrentes ao Oscar de Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante em 2018. Se ela ganhar, não vai ser surpresa pra mim. O filme possui um senso de humor agridoce, sendo ácido e doce ao mesmo tempo, com a presença de palavrões, mas possui piadas que não necessitam deles, tudo graças ao roteiro de Nanjiani e Gordon, que também possui chances em Melhor Roteiro Original em 2018.
"Doentes de Amor" é um filme engraçado, agridoce, romântico, triste, e acima de tudo, realista, e, pra quem não é muito ligado com o gênero, é um bom título para começar.
Amei esse filme demais!! Recomendo ele para todos vocês!!

When Emily gets sick from a mysterious disease and gets induced into a coma, Kumail tries, at last, to solve the emotional conflict between his family and his heart.

When I first heard about this film, I thought: "This is going to be just another cliché-filled romantic comedy." But then I realized that it's based on a true story, the story of Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, who together, wrote the script of the film. So, after seeing the trailer, I watched the film. This is one of those romantic comedies that actually work, thanks to a brilliant script and a superb directing from veteran and comedian Michael Showalter. The main cast's performances are fantastic, especially Holly Hunter's performance as Emily's mother, which puts her as one of the main contenders for Best Supporting Actress in the 2018 Academy Awards. If she wins, I won't be surprised. The movie has a bittersweet sense of humor, containing jokes with and without profanities, all thanks to Nanjiani and Gordon's screenplay, which also has high chances for Best Original Screenplay in 2018.

"The Big Sick" is a funny, bittersweet, romantic, heartbreaking, and above all, realistic film, and, to those who are not very friendly with this kind of genre, this is a good movie to start.

I really loved this film!! I highly recommend it to all of you!!

O filme é baseado em um romance do mesmo nome escrito pelo diretor do filme, Makoto Shinkai.

Mitsuha Miyamizu (voz de Kamishiraishi) é uma jovem que mora no interior do Japão e que deseja deixar sua pequena cidade para trás para tentar a sorte em Tóquio. Enquanto isso, Taki Tachibana (voz de Kamiki), um jovem que trabalha em um restaurante italiano em Tóquio, deseja largar o seu emprego para tentar se tornar um arquiteto. Os dois não se conhecem, mas estão direta e misteriosamente conectados pelas imagens de seus sonhos.

Ouvi falar desse filme por meio de uma notícia de que J.J. Abrams, diretor de "Star Wars: O Despertar da Força", iria produzir uma versão americana do filme. Depois de um tempo, uma amiga minha me convidou para vê-lo no cinema. Interessado e intrigado pelo filme, aceitei o convite. E não me arrependo de nada, porque esse é provavelmente o melhor filme que eu assisti esse ano. O filme demora um pouquinho para dar a primeira marcha, mas quando ele engrena, o resultado é simplesmente maravilhoso. A direção e o roteiro são espetaculares, o trabalho de voz é muito bom, a animação, em 2D, é de tirar o fôlego, e a trilha sonora é viciante.
O filme possui um impacto emocional muito grande, e consegue misturar termos como viagens no tempo, planos astrais e sonhos perfeitamente bem.
Brilhantemente animado, contado de uma maneira espetacular, e emocionalmente impactante, "Your Name." é um filme que aquece e quebra o coração dos espectadores ao mesmo tempo, mas garanto a vocês que, quando o filme acabar, uma dessas duas coisas vai acontecer: um sorriso bem grande irá se estender pelo rosto de vocês, ou lágrimas escorrerão. Em casos particulares, como o meu, poderá haver uma combinação dos dois. (Risos)

"Your Name." (Kimi no na wa.) is a 2016 Japanese animated drama film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. It stars the voices of Ryunosuke Kamiki, Mone Kamishiraishi, Masami Nagasawa, Etsuko Ichihara, Ryo Narita and Aoi Yuki. The film is based on the novel of the same name written by the director of the film, Makoto Shinkai.

Mitsuha Miyamizu (voiced by Kamishiraishi) is a young woman who lives in a mountainous region in Japan, and she wants to leave her small town and live in Tokyo. Meanwhile, Taki Tachibana (voiced by Kamiki), a young man who works in an Italian restaurant in Tokyo, wants to quit his job to try to become an architect. The two of them do not know each other, but they are directly and mysteriously connected by the images of their dreams.

I heard about this film because J.J. Abrams, director of  "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", announced he would produce an American remake of it. After a while, a friend of mine invited me to see it in the movies. Interested and intrigued by it, I accepted the invitation. And I do not regret a thing, because this is, probably, the best film I've watched this year. The film takes a while to take off, but once it does, the results are simply wonderful. The directing and screenplay are spectacular, the voice work is very good, the (traditional) animation is breathtaking, and the soundtrack is really addictive.
It has a very strong emotional impact, and it blends terms like time travel, astral planes and dreams perfectly well.
Brilliantly animated, told in a spectacular way, and emotionally astounding, "Your Name." is a film that is heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time, and I assure that, by the end of the movie, one of these things will happen to you guys: a big, large smile will appear throughout your faces, or tears will stream down your faces. In particular cases, such as mine, there may be a combination of both those things. (LOL.)

Como uma adaptação de Stephen King, o filme é fantástico. Ele possui aquela essência de Stephen King presente no incrível "Conta Comigo", e um tom de camaradagem, presente em "Os Goonies", e é simplesmente brilhante como o filme trabalha mais no desenvolvimento e relacionamento dos personagens do que em entregar sustos baratos (jumpscares). Nas 2 horas e 15 minutos de filme, o espectador não sente um pingo de cansaço, graças à uma atmosfera sinistra, atuações marcantes e hilárias, e uma trilha sonora assustadoramente boa. Bill Skarsgard arrasa como um Pennywise fantástico, que se equipara com a versão de 1990, interpretada pelo maravilhoso Tim Curry. A maquiagem e a voz ajudam o personagem a causar verdadeiros sustos, e é impossível não se assustar com ele. As crianças, com destaque para a expressiva Sophia Lillis e a performance hilária de Finn Wolfhard, entregam as melhores performances do filme, e graças a um bom roteiro, eles demonstram uma química perfeita entre os Otários. Andy Muschietti, do terror "Mama", está incrível na cadeira de diretor, e espero que ele tenha um grande futuro pela frente! (E que esse futuro inclua o Capítulo 2 de It... (risos))
Com as portas abertas para um segundo capítulo, atuações marcantes, uma fotografia morbidamente sombria, uma trilha sonora nostálgica e macabra ao mesmo tempo, e um roteiro leve e, por incrível que pareça, intenso, It vai muito além de só um filme de terror, entregando uma mensagem moralizante sobre a força da amizade, a importância da coragem e a capacidade de enfrentar seus medos.
Amei esse filme demais!!! Pra mim, é o melhor filme do ano até agora!! Altamente recomendo ele para vocês!!!

The film is set in the fictional town of Derry, in Maine, in the late 1980s, and tells the story of 7 friends, known as The Losers' Club, composed by Bill (Lieberher), whose brother mysteriously disappeared, Beverly (Lillis), who is abused at school and at home, Richie (Wolfhard), a bespectacled nerd, who is the "clown" of the group, Eddie (Grazer), a boy who is seriously worried about diseases, Ben (Taylor), an overweighted boy who is bullied, Stan (Oleff), a Jewish boy who is pushed by his father to make the perfect bar mitzvah, and Mike, a black boy whose parents died in a fire, who are terrorized by a being known as Pennywise the Dancing Clown (Skarsgard), and also by their personal demons in the process, like bullying, committed by the sadistic Henry Bowers (Hamilton), abuse and prejudice.

As a Stephen King adaptation, the movie is fantastic. It has that Stephen King essence present in the amazing "Stand by Me", and also that sense of camaraderie, present in "The Goonies", and it is simply brilliant how it develops more on the relationships between the characters than just delivering cheap jumpscares. In the 135 minutes of the film, the viewer does not feel one bit tired, thanks to a creepy atmosphere, astounding, hilarious performances, and a scary good score. Bill Skarsgard nails it as a fantastic Pennywise, which equals his version to the 1990s' version, played by the wonderful Tim Curry. His make-up and voice help the character to cause real, genuine scares, and it is impossible not to be scared by him. The kids, specially the expressive Sophia Lillis, and the hilarious performance of Finn Wolfhard, deliver the best performances of the film, and thanks to a good script, they show a perfect chemistry between the Losers. Andy Muschietti, from "Mama", does an amazing job in the director's chair, and I hope he has a bright future ahead of him! (And I also hope that bright future includes Chapter 2 of It... (LOL))

With the doors open to a second chapter, astounding performances, a morbidly dark cinematography, a nostalgic, and harrowing score, and a light, yet intense script, It goes way beyond from just a horror flick, delivering an important message about the strength of friendship, the importance of bravery, and the capacity to face your fears.

I really loved this movie! For me, it is the best film of the year so far! I highly recommend it to you guys!!!

"Submarine" é um filme britânico de 2010 do gênero comédia dramática escrito e dirigido por Richard Ayoade, e estrelado por Craig Roberts, Yasmin Paige, Noah Taylor, Sally Hawkins e Paddy Considine. O filme é baseado no livro de mesmo nome escrito por Joe Dunthorne.

O filme, ambientado no País de Gales na década de 1980, conta a história de Oliver Tate (Roberts), um garoto de 15 anos, que possui dois objetivos na vida de adolescente: perder a sua virgindade com uma garota, Jordana Bevan (Paige), que é tão impopular quanto ele, e salvar o casamento dos pais (Taylor e Hawkins), quando, de repente, um ex-namorado (Considine) da mãe dele reaparece na vida do casal.

Ouvi falar desse filme por meio de uma lista que indicava filmes que podiam ter sido dirigidos por Wes Anderson, que é um dos meus diretores favoritos dessa geração, então, interessado pelo enredo, e pelo tema do primeiro amor, presente no meu filme favorito do Wes, Moonrise Kingdom, fui assistir o filme. E foi uma surpresa super-agradável. As atuações do elenco inteiro, principalmente as de Roberts e Paige, estão incríveis. A fotografia, o roteiro, e direção são outras vantagens fantásticas do filme, fazendo-o parecer muito com o trabalho do Wes Anderson, entregando um Moonrise Kingdom adulto e melancólico, só que sem a parte da fuga. A trilha sonora, composta e cantada por Alex Turner, da banda Arctic Monkeys, encaixa perfeitamente com os contextos das cenas em que as músicas são tocadas, sendo um ótimo complemento para a estreia de Richard Ayoade como diretor. Visualmente fantástico, sonoramente melancólico, e impulsionado pelo carisma de seus protagonistas, Submarine é um filme adulto sobre pessoas jovens, e um dos mais realistas, quando se trata do assunto de primeiro amor, na minha opinião.
Amei esse filme demais!!! Super recomendo esse incrível filme para quem curte esse assunto e o trabalho de Wes Anderson!!

I heard about this film because of a list that showed films that could have been directed by Wes Anderson, one of my favorite directors in our generation, so, captured by the plot, and by the theme of first love, present in my favorite Wes Anderson film, Moonrise Kingdom, I watched the film. And it was a very pleasant surprise. The performances of the whole cast, highlighting Roberts' and Paige's, are amazing. The cinematography, the script, and the directing are some of the film's fantastic advantages, making it look like Wes Anderson's work, giving us a more mature, melancholic Moonrise Kingdom, only without the escape part. The soundtrack, composed and sung by Alex Turner, Arctic Monkeys' frontman, fits perfectly in the scenes where the songs are played, making it a great complement to Richard Ayoade's directorial debut. Visually fantastic, sonorously melancholic, and propelled by the leads' charisma and personality, Submarine is a mature film about young people, and one of the most realistic films about first love, in my opinion.
I really loved this film! I highly recommend this amazing movie to fans of films about first love and Wes Anderson's work!!
