"A Pequena Loja dos Horrores" (Little Shop of Horrors) é um filme estadunidense de 1986 do gênero comédia/musical/terror dirigido por Frank Oz e estrelado por Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia, Steve Martin, Levi Stubbs e Bill Murray. O filme é baseado no musical da Broadway "Little Shop of Horrors", de Alan Menken e Howard Ashman.
O filme se ambienta em Skid Row, um bairro na periferia de Nova York, e conta a história de Seymour (Moranis), um florista e funcionário na loja de flores do Sr. Mushnik (Gardenia). Certo dia, depois de um eclipse solar, Seymour compra uma estranha planta, a qual ele batiza de Audrey II (voz de Stubbs), em homenagem à sua amada, Audrey (Greene).
Mas como toda planta, ela precisa ser bem cuidada. O problema é que Seymour não imaginaria que ela teria um gosto peculiar para alimentos.
O filme é muito bom, na minha opinião. Servindo como uma homenagem para tanto os filmes-B quanto os musicais da Broadway, "A Pequena Loja dos Horrores" é um musical diferente, mas em um bom sentido. Os números musicais são bem-humorados, tem uma trilha sonora fantástica feita para os espectadores cantarem junto!
As atuações de Moranis, Greene, Stubbs e Martin são muito boas, e mostram que eles não só são bons em filmes e comédia, mas em cantar também. Nunca imaginaria que o Steve Martin cantaria tão bem!
Agora, eis uma sugestão: o filme possui dois finais diferentes, cada um posto em versões diferentes do filme. O primeiro, mais feliz e triunfante, foi posto na versão de cinema. Já o final original, mais triste e desastroso, mas mesmo assim, mais fiel ao musical que inspirou o filme, foi posto na versão do diretor. Se vocês gostam de um final onde tudo fica bem, assistam a versão de cinema. Agora, se vocês gostam de um final onde tudo fica um desastre, com momentos decepcionantes, assistam a versão do diretor.
De qualquer jeito, assisti as duas versões, e adorei as duas, então totalmente recomendo "A Pequena Loja dos Horrores" para vocês! É simplesmente um dos melhores musicais que eu já vi!!

The movie is set in Skid Row, a downtown neighborhood in New York City, and tells the story of Seymour (Moranis), a florist and a worker in Mr. Mushnik's (Gardenia) flower shop. One day, after a solar eclipse, Seymour buys a strange plant, which he names Audrey II (voiced by Stubbs), after his beloved crush, Audrey (Greene).
But as any plant, she must be taken care of. The problem is Seymour didn't imagine the plant had a peculiar taste of food.
The movie is very good, in my opinion. Serving as an homage to both B-movies and Broadway musicals, "Little Shop of Horrors" is a different musical, in the good way. The musical numbers are upbeat, and the fantastic soundtrack was literally made for the audience to sing-along!
The performances of Moranis, Greene, Stubbs, and Martin are really good, and they show that, besides movies and comedy, these people can sing. I had no idea how good Steve Martin was good at singing!!
And here's a suggestion: the movie has two different endings, each put in different versions of the film. The first one, happier and more triumphant, was put in the theatrical version. And the original ending, sadder and devastating, yet more faithful to the musical that inspired the film, was put in the director's cut. If you guys like an ending where everything ends well, watch the theatrical version. And if you like an ending that ends in total disaster, with disappointing moments, watch the director's cut.
Anyway, I watched both the versions of the film, and loved them both, so I totally recommend "Little Shop of Horrors" to you guys! It is simply one of the best movie musicals I've ever seen!!!
