"Capitão Fantástico" (Captain Fantastic) é um filme estadunidense de 2016 do gênero comédia dramática escrito e dirigido por Matt Ross e estrelado por Viggo Mortensen, George MacKay, Samantha Isler, Annalise Basso, Nicholas Hamilton, Shree Crooks, Charlie Shotwell, Kathryn Hahn, Steve Zahn e Frank Langella.

Ben Cash (Mortensen) e sua esposa Leslie (Trin Miller) se tornaram desiludidos com o capitalismo e o American Way of Life (jeito de vida Americano), e decidem criar seus seis filhos (MacKay, Isler, Basso, Hamilton, Crooks, Shotwell) nas selvas do estado de Washington, onde os ensinam a ser críticos, a sobreviver na natureza, a serem saudáveis fisicamente, a viver sem tecnologia, e demonstram a eles o quanto é bonito co-existir com a natureza.
Leslie é hospitalizada por ser bipolar, e alguns anos depois, ela comete suicídio, cortando os pulsos. Mesmo com os protestos do pai de Leslie (Langella), Ben e seus filhos saem em uma jornada para ir para o funeral dela e atender os seus desejos.

O filme é, de fato, fantástico. Ele mistura, perfeitamente, os gêneros comédia e drama, graças a um roteiro original incrível do diretor Matt Ross. O filme possui uma fotografia de tirar o fôlego, com florestas servindo de cenários, cenas tocantes e hilárias e atuações fortes de Viggo Mortensen e do elenco inteiro, especialmente o elenco mirim.
Pelos visuais, parece que "Capitão Fantástico" é um filme de Wes Anderson, por causa das cores vibrantes dos figurinos e cenários, e também pelo estilo de comédia que o filme possui, com um toque de drama e até romance.
Indicado a 1 Globo de Ouro (Melhor Ator em um Filme de Drama - Viggo Mortensen), "Capitão Fantástico" é um filme meio que filosófico e motivacional, um dos melhores filmes do ano, e um certo indicado às principais categorias dos Oscars do ano que vem!!

Leslie is hospitalized for bipolar disorder, and years later, she commits suicide, slitting her wrists. Even with Leslie's father's (Langella) protests, Ben and his children go on a journey to attend Leslie's funeral and fulfill her wishes.

The movie is, indeed, fantastic. It mixes, in a perfect way, comedy and drama, thanks to an amazing original script written by director Matt Ross. The movie has some breathtaking pieces of cinematography, with some wild settings, touching and hilarious scenes, and strong performances from Viggo Mortensen and the entire cast, especially the child actors.
Visually, "Captain Fantastic" looks like a movie directed by Wes Anderson, due to the sets and costumes' bright and vibrant colors, and also because of the style of comedy that the movie possesses, with a touch of drama, and even romance.
Nominated for 1 Golden Globe (Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama - Viggo Mortensen), "Captain Fantastic" is a kind of philosophical and inspirational movie, one of the best films of the year, and a certain nominee in the main categories at next year's Oscars!!
