cinéfilos! Aqui quem fala é o João Pedro, e vim aqui falar de uma
das animações mais aclamadas de 2018, que infelizmente, só lançou
esse mês no Brasil. Pode-se dizer que esse filme é o mais próximo
que chegaremos de uma HQ em movimento, por ser frenético, divertido,
e por ter protagonistas repletos de personalidade. Então, sem mais
delongas, vamos falar sobre “Homem-Aranha no Aranhaverso”. Vamos
lá!
(What's up, film buffs!
I'm back, and I'm here to discuss on one of the most acclaimed
animated films of 2018. It can be said that this movie is the closest
we will ever get to a comic book in motion, for being fast-paced,
fun, and for having protagonists filled with personality. So, without
further ado, let's talk about “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”.
Let's go!)
O filme conta a
história de Miles Morales (voz de Shameik Moore), um garoto do
Brooklyn que é picado por uma aranha radioativa, o que o leva a
entrar, acidentalmente, dentro de um experimento colocado em prática
por Wilson Fisk (voz de Liev Schreiber), que abre um portal
interdimensional, enviando várias outras versões do Homem-Aranha
para a realidade de Miles, como Peter Parker (voz de Jake Johnson),
Gwen Stacy (voz de Hailee Steinfeld), Homem-Aranha Noir (voz de
Nicolas Cage), Peni Parker (voz de Kimiko Glenn) e Peter
Porker/Porco-Aranha (voz de John Mulaney). Juntos, eles deverão
achar uma maneira de ativar o portal e mandar os super-heróis
aracnídeos para casa.
(The movie tells the
story of Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore), a kid from Brooklyn
who is bit by a radioactive spider, which leads him to, accidentally,
enter inside an experiment practiced by Wilson Fisk (voiced by Liev
Schreiber), which opens an interdimensional portal, sending several
other versions of Spider-Man into Miles's reality, like Peter Parker
(voiced by Jake Johnson), Gwen Stacy (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld),
Spider-Man Noir (voiced by Nicolas Cage), Peni Parker (voiced by
Kimiko Glenn) and Peter Porker/Spider-Ham (voiced by John Mulaney).
Together, they must find a way to activate the portal and send the
arachnid super-heroes home.)
Ok, pra começar, eu
estava bem animado para esse filme. Sendo um enorme fã do
Homem-Aranha, um filme com muitas versões do herói quase
desconhecidas pelo público parecia ser incrível. Aí, vieram os
Globos de Ouro, onde esse filme venceu o prêmio de Melhor Filme de
Animação, batendo o fantástico “Ilha dos Cachorros”,
aumentando ainda mais minhas expectativas. Fico feliz em dizer que
minhas expectativas foram, em sua grande maioria, atendidas. A
começar pelo roteiro, co-escrito por Phil Lord, um dos gênios por
trás de “Uma Aventura Lego”, um dos meus filmes de animação
favoritos. A história é muito boa, consegue ser envolvente,
engraçada, cheia de easter eggs e reviravoltas imprevisíveis, e
possui até um passo rápido e frenético, para um filme com quase 2
horas de duração. Temos aqui vilões pouco explorados em filmes
recentes do Homem-Aranha, como o Rei do Crime, o Gatuno, o Lápide e
o Escorpião, e é sempre bom ver personagens pouco usados em filmes
de super-herói, o que dá uma certa originalidade ao conteúdo. Tem
um aspecto em particular que se repete 6 ou 7 vezes no percurso do
roteiro, mas cada um possui suas particularidades, o que não torna
esse aspecto enfadonho. Em nenhum momento, eu me senti entediado;
meus olhos ficaram grudados na tela o tempo inteiro, por causa da
história e do visual do filme, mas discutiremos isso mais adiante.
Resumindo, o roteiro de “Homem-Aranha no Aranhaverso” é
frenético, engraçado, envolvente e cheio de easter eggs, o que com
certeza irá agradar fãs de todas as idades.
(Okay, for starters, I
was pretty excited for this movie. As a huge fan of Spider-Man, a
movie with several almost unknown versions of the hero seemed to be
amazing. Then the Golden Globes came, and this movie won the award
for Best Animated Feature, beating the fantastic “Isle of Dogs”,
further increasing my expectations. I am glad to say that my
expectations were, in their great majority, reached. Starting with
the script, co-written by Phil Lord, one of the geniuses behind “The
Lego Movie”, one of my favorite animated movies. The story is
really good, it manages to be captivating, funny, filled with easter
eggs and unpredictable twists, and it even has a fast, frenetic pace,
for a movie with almost 2 hours of running time. We have here
villains who did not have some proper character exploration in recent
Spider-Man movies, like Kingpin, Prowler, Tombstone and Scorpion, and
it's always good to see less-explored characters in superhero movies,
because it gives a sense of originality to the film's content.
There's a particular aspect in the script that repeats itself 6 or 7
times, but each one has its particularities, which doesn't make it
dull or repetitive. I didn't feel bored or uninterested in any moment
in the film; my eyes were stuck to the screen the whole time, because
of its story and visuals, which we will discuss further on. In a
nutshell, the script of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is
fast-paced, funny, captivating and filled with easter eggs, which
will certainly please fans of all ages.)
Nós temos um elenco de
vozes bem diverso aqui: como as “Pessoas-Aranha”, temos Shameik
Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Nicolas Cage, Kimiko Glenn e
John Mulaney; como os vilões, temos Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali,
Kathryn Hahn, Jorma Taccone, Krondon e Joaquín Cosío. Como
coadjuvantes, temos Brian Tyree Henry e Luna Lauren Velez como os
pais de Miles, Zoe Kravitz como Mary Jane Watson e Lily Tomlin, que
rouba a cena como a Tia May. Sim, em um filme com 6 super-heróis
dividindo a tela, ficou claro desde o início que alguns iriam ser
mais desenvolvidos do que outros. Por exemplo, nesse filme, Miles
Morales, Peter Parker e Gwen Stacy foram muito mais desenvolvidos do
que o Homem-Aranha Noir, Peni Parker e o Porco-Aranha, mas ainda
assim, todos possuem uma hora de brilhar, seja durante a história de
origem, ou seja durante as cenas de batalha, com cada um tendo sua
própria personalidade. Mesmo assim, eu realmente queria mais
desenvolvimento nessas versões mais desconhecidas do Homem-Aranha,
especialmente para o Homem-Aranha Noir, que pra mim, é uma das
versões mais tematicamente interessantes e intrigantes do herói
aracnídeo. Então, o elenco de vozes de “Homem-Aranha no
Aranhaverso” é extenso e extremamente talentoso, contando com
protagonistas que irão agradar vários nichos do público-alvo,
mesmo com alguns tendo mais desenvolvimento do que outros.
(We have quite a
diverse voice cast here: as the “Spider-People”, we have Shameik
Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Nicolas Cage, Kimiko Glenn and
John Mulaney; as the baddies, we have Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali,
Kathryn Hahn, Jorma Taccone, Krondon and Joaquín Cosío. As
supporting characters, we have Brian Tyree Henry and Luna Lauren
Velez as Miles's parents, Zoe Kravitz as Mary Jane Watson and Lily
Tomlin, who steals the scene as Aunt May. Yes, in a movie with 6
superheroes sharing the screen, it became clear since the start that
some would be better developed than others. For an example, in this
film, Miles Morales, Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy were way more
developed than Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker and Spider-Ham, but yet,
everyone has a time to shine, throughout their origin story or during
the battle scenes, with each one having their own personality. Even
so, I really wanted more character development in these less known
versions of Spider-Man, especially for Spider-Man Noir, which, to me,
is one of the most thematically interesting and intriguing versions
of the arachnid hero. So, the voice cast of “Spider-Man: Into the
Spider-Verse” is big and extremely talented, counting with
protagonists that will please several niches of the target audience,
even with some being more developed than others.)
Mesmo com uma história
preenchida de conteúdo, e um elenco super-talentoso, o verdadeiro
destaque de “Homem-Aranha no Aranhaverso”, sem sombra de dúvida,
é o visual. Se o espectador não se sentir atraído pelo enredo, ele
com certeza ficará pela riqueza de detalhes e pela criatividade
estética do visual. Sendo uma mistura bem trabalhada e visualmente
estonteante de computação gráfica com desenhos à mão, o visual
se aproxima demais de como seria se um filme fosse uma história em
quadrinhos em movimento constante. A estética é a mesma presente em
quadrinhos de quase 70 anos de idade, com balões de pensamento,
exclamação, onomatopéias nas cenas de luta, com os pixels sendo
tratados como “pontos e linhas de uma pintura”, de acordo com o
produtor Chris Miller, para preservar o visual “raiz” de HQ
mesmo. O estilo da animação é muito original, com uma Nova York
mais neon e diferente, já que o protagonista não mora no Queens; e
efeitos visuais hipnotizantes, que grudarão os olhos do espectador
na tela. Alguns podem achar, pelo visual, que há muita coisa
acontecendo ao mesmo tempo, mas uma coisa é inegável: com essa
técnica de animação, a equipe de “Homem-Aranha no Aranhaverso”
conseguiu criar algo extremamente original, e ainda assim,
essencialmente nostálgico.
(Even with a
content-filled story, and a super talented cast, the true highlight
of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, without a doubt, is the
visuals. If the viewer does not feel attracted by the plot, he'll
stay for the rich details and the aesthetic creativity of the
visuals. Being a well-developed and visually stunning mix of CGI and
hand-drawn animation, the visuals get really, really close to what
would a comic book in constant motion be. The aesthetic is the same
as in 70-year-old comics, with thought balloons, exclamations,
onomatopoeias for the battle scenes, with pixels being treated as
“dots and lines on a painting”, according to producer Chris
Miller, in order to preserve the look of an actual comic book. The
style of the animation is astoundingly original, with a neon-filled,
different NYC, as our protagonist does not live in Queens; and
eye-popping visual effects, which will keep the viewer's eyes stuck
to the screen. Some may find, by its visuals, that there's a lot of
stuff going on at the same time, but one thing is undeniable: with
this animation technique, the crew of “Spider-Man: Into the
Spider-Verse” managed to create something extremely original, and
yet, essentially nostalgic.)
Resumindo,
“Homem-Aranha no Aranhaverso” é diferente de quase tudo que nós
vemos do Homem-Aranha até agora. É um filme cheio de conteúdo e
easter eggs, que conta com um elenco talentoso, protagonistas bem
desenvolvidos e, provavelmente, o melhor visual de uma animação em
3D que eu já vi até agora! Recomendo fortemente para todos os fãs
do Aranha, criança ou adulto! Garanto que a família inteira irá
adorar!

(In a nutshell,
“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is different from almost
everything we've seen of Spider-Man so far. It's a film filled with
content and easter eggs, which has a talented cast, well-developed
protagonists, and, probably, the greatest visuals in a 3D animated
film I've seen so far! I strongly recommend it to all Spidey fans,
kids and grown-ups! I guarantee that the whole family will love it!
I give it a 9,5 out of
10!!
