então é hora de lembrar o melhor desse ano, na minha opinião, é
claro! Além do melhor de 2017, vou também colocar aqui coisas que
eu só descobri em 2017 de anos anteriores, que merecem estar nessa
lista! E a tradução em inglês estará em parênteses abaixo da
versão original em Português! Então vamos começar!

best of this year, in my opinion, of course! Besides the best of
2017, I'll also list things that I discovered only in 2017 from

Eu nunca estive mais
animado por causa de um filme de terror igual eu estive por esse
filme. Começando pelo fato que é uma adaptação de Stephen King, e
há boas e ruins adaptações de King, e essa, felizmente foi uma
ótima! Dirigido por um dos diretores mais promissores do gênero
atualmente, Andy Muschietti, It ultrapassou as barreiras de um filme
de terror genérico, incluindo uma história dramática e um senso de
humor ácido além de apenas sustos baratos. Com atuações sólidas,
como a expressiva Sophia Lillis e o hilário Finn Wolfhard, além de
um assustador Bill Skarsgard como o palhaço Pennywise, It: A Coisa
(Capítulo 1) merece ser o melhor filme de 2017!!
(I've never been more
excited for a horror film than I've been for this one. Starting with
the fact that it's a Stephen King adaptation, and there are good and
bad King adaptations, and this one, fortunately, was a great one!
Directed by one of the most promising genre directors recently, Andy
Muschietti, It went through the limits of a simple horror film,
inserting a dramatic story and an acid sense of humor besides only
cheap scares. With solid pieces of acting, like the expressive Sophia
Lillis and the hilarious Finn Wolfhard, besides a scary Bill
Skarsgard as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, It (Chapter One) deserves
to be the best film of 2017!!)

Animes
nunca foram a minha praia. Até que uma amiga me introduziu a essa
pérola bem escondida dentro da ostra que foi 2016. Uma história de
romance envolvendo viagem no tempo, planos astrais, e conceitos
políticos me fez chorar no final. Depois de ver esse filme lindo com
uma trilha sonora viciante e um roteiro pra lá de inteligente,
comecei a gostar de filmes de animação japonesa, tanto que estou no
meio de uma maratona de filmes de Hayao Miyazaki. Esse não é só o
melhor filme de anime que eu vi, mas um dos melhores filmes de
animação que eu já vi! Recomendo fortemente que vocês vejam esse
tremendo filme!!

was never my thing. Until a friend introduced me to this well-hidden
pearl inside the oyster that was 2016. A romance story involving time
travel, astral planes and political concepts made me cry in the end.
After watching this lovely film with an addictive soundtrack and a
hell of a smart screenplay, I started liking Japanese animated films,
as I'm in the middle of a Hayao Miyazaki marathon. This isn't just
the best Anime film I've ever seen, but it's also one of the best
animated films ever! I strongly recommend you guys to watch this
tremendous film!)

de 2017, ambas programações originais de serviços de streaming,
ambas baseadas em livros icônicos, e ambas com um teor feminista,
The Handmaid's Tale, distopia da Hulu, e Anne With an E, drama de
época da Netflix, dividem o lugar aqui. Ambas possuem uma fotografia
de tirar o fôlego, com destaque para a de Anne with an E, com
cenários naturais lindos. O elenco de ambas as séries é poderoso,
e digno de prêmios por suas atuações, com destaque para a de
Elisabeth Moss em Handmaid e Amybeth McNulty em Anne, sendo
protagonistas instantaneamente amáveis e identificáveis. A história
que inspirou as duas séries te agarra desde o primeiro episódio e
só te solta quando acaba a temporada, sendo séries maratonáveis.
Estou desesperadamente esperando a segunda temporada dessas duas
promissoras e maravilhosas séries!

based on iconic books, and both with a feminist thing to it, The
Handmaid's Tale, Hulu's dystopian series, and Anne With an E,
Netflix's period drama, share the spot here. Both have a breathtaking
cinematography, especially Anne with an E, with beautiful natural
sets. The cast of both shows are powerful, and award-worthy,
especially Elisabeth Moss in Handmaid and Amybeth McNulty in Anne, as
instantaneously likable protagonists. The story of both shows grabs
you from the first episode and only lets you go when the season's
over, being binge-watch worthy shows. I'm desperately waiting for the
second season of these promising and wonderful shows!!)

A única música do Paramore que eu escutei até After Laughter
chegar foi The Only Exception, assim como a única música da Lorde
que eu escutei até Melodrama chegar foi Royals. Aí um professor me
mostrou Misery Business, do Paramore, e eu gostei, então vi que um
novo álbum estava perto e esperei por ele, enquanto ouvia Green
Light, da Lorde. Os dois álbuns chegaram, e cara, me apaixonei nos
dois. O Paramore mudou completamente de som, com um som de pop dos
anos 80 e a Lorde amadureceu muito com suas novas composições no
seu segundo álbum. Infelizmente, Paramore foi esnobado no Grammy,
então estou torcendo muito pela Lorde!!
Recomendo imensamente que vocês escutem esses dois lindos e
maravilhosos álbuns!!
Músicas favoritas: Fake Happy e Pool (After Laughter), Liability e
Perfect Places (Melodrama)
(The only Paramore song I've listened until After Laughter came was
The Only Exception, just like the only Lorde song I've listened until
Melodrama came was Royals. Then a teacher showed me Paramore's Misery
Business, and I liked it, and then I saw a new album was near, so I
waited for it, while I listened to Lorde's Green Light. Both of them
arrived, and boy, they were so good, I fell in love with them.
Paramore changed completely their sound, with an 80s pop sound, and
Lorde grew up in her songwriting in her second album. Unfortunately,
Paramore got snubbed by the Grammys, so I'm rooting for Lorde! I
hugely recommend you to listen to these two lovely, wonderful
albums!!!

primeira vez que eu ouvi Melanie Martinez foi quando eu tive uma aula
de interpretação de texto, aí ouvi Mrs. Potato Head, e achei que a
Melanie beirava à genialidade e à loucura também (Risos). Com seu
visual colorido e composições adultas, Martinez conseguiu, em um
álbum inteiramente conceitual, contar uma história deprimente e
genial com suas 13 músicas (e videoclipes). Lidando com temas como
abuso, traição, amor, pedofilia e loucura, tudo com títulos
infantis e sons de brinquedos, Martinez fez um dos únicos álbuns
dos quais eu gosto de todas as músicas. Claro, esse álbum não é
pra todo mundo, mas recomendo que os mais crescidos mergulhem no
mundo maluco e explícito de Cry Baby.
Música favorita: Training Wheels
(The first time I heard a Melanie Martinez song, I was in a class,
then I heard Mrs. Potato Head, and I thought that Melanie was
half-genius, and half-crazy (LOL). With her colored visual and mature
songwriting, Martinez achieved, in an entirely conceptual album, to
tell a depressing, genius story with 13 songs (and music videos).
Dealing with themes like abuse, cheating, love, pedophilia and
madness, all with kid-friendly song titles and toy sounds, Martinez
made one of the only albums of which all the songs are likable to me.
Of course, this album is not for everyone, but I recommend for the
grown ups to dive into the crazy, explicit world of Cry Baby.

Li poucos livros que foram escritos esse ano, mas dos que eu li, esse
conjunto de crônicas acompanhando o relacionamento de mãe e filho
através dos anos, é o melhor. E não é só porque a autora é uma
grande amiga minha, a maneira de escrever dela é simplesmente linda!
Anteriormente, só via poemas igualmente lindos da autoria dela, mas
nunca tinha visto crônicas. As histórias retratadas nesse livro são
ao mesmo tempo engraçadas, amorosas, emocionantes e algumas tristes,
mas que não deixam de ser boas, e nos mostram aquele amor
imensurável entre mãe e filho. Obrigado, Eugênia, por ter escrito
esse livro (e por me ter recomendado The Handmaid's Tale! Kkkkkkk).
(I read a small amount of books written this year, but from the ones
that I did, this compilation of chronicles about the relationship of
mother and son through the years, is the best one. Not just because
the author is a huge friend of mine, her way of writing is simply
beautiful! Before this book, I just read her equally beautiful poems,
but I'd never seen chronicles. The stories inside this book are at
the same time funny, lovely, thrilling and some are sad, but they are
just as good, and they show us that immeasurable love between mother
and child. Thank you, Eugênia, for writing this book (and for
recommending me The Handmaid's Tale!! hahahahahaha).)

Esse livro, ah, esse livro... Primeiro, gostaria de agradecer à
minha amiga Angela por ter me recomendado essa maravilhosa obra.
Segundo, estou super animado pelo filme baseado no livro! Terceiro,
esse livro é incrível! Juntando duas histórias com protagonistas
surdos, com uma prosa e ilustrações de, realmente, tirar o fôlego,
essa obra do mesmo escritor de A Invenção de Hugo Cabret, interliga
histórias com 50 anos de diferença, sendo uma carta de amor aos
sonhadores e à cidade de Nova York, na qual as duas histórias, em
sua maioria, se passam. Há momentos emocionantes e de cair o queixo
nesse livro, inclusive momentos que irão fazer o leitor morrer de
tanto chorar. Espero que o filme baseado no livro seja tão bom
quanto Hugo Cabret, já que o roteiro é escrito pelo próprio autor
do livro, para incluir mais fidelidade à obra original!! Recomendo
demais esse livro para vocês!!

book, ah, this book... First, I'd like to thank my friend Angela for
recommending this marvelous novel. Second, I'm super excited about
the film based on it. Third, this book is amazing! Combining two
stories with deaf protagonists, with writing and illustrations that
will leave you, really, wonderstruck, this novel from the same author
as The Invention of Hugo Cabret intertwines stories with 50 years of
difference, being a love letter to dreamers and to New York City, in
which both stories, in their majority are set. There are thrilling,
jaw-dropping moments in this book, including moments capable of
making the reader cry a lot. I hope the film based on it is as good
as Hugo Cabret, since the script is written by the author of the
book, to put more faithfulness to the original work! I really
recommend it to you guys!!!)
