“Lady Bird: A Hora de
Voar” (Lady Bird) é um filme estadunidense de 2017 do gênero
comédia dramática escrito e dirigido por Greta Gerwig e estrelado
por Saoirse Ronan, Laurie Metcalf, Tracy Letts, Lucas Hedges,
Timothée Chalamet e Beanie Feldstein.
O filme se ambienta em
Sacramento, Califórnia, no ano de 2002 e conta a história de
Christine McPherson (Ronan), que se auto-intitula Lady Bird, e estuda
seu último ano em uma escola católica. Prestes à alcançar a
maioridade, Christine deseja ir pra Nova York pra faculdade, apesar
dos protestos de sua mãe (Metcalf), com quem ela tem uma relação
turbulenta, e enquanto ela não está na faculdade, amigos, amores, e
primeiras experiências fazem parte de sua jornada em Sacramento.
Só pra começar, eu
estava animado pra ver esse filme desde a exibição no Festival de
Telluride em setembro, onde ele foi aclamado pela crítica. Esperava
ele como um filme coming-of-age mais adulto, e foi exatamente isso
que eu recebi como presente de aniversário. Greta Gerwig, a eterna
Frances Ha, tem uma estreia fantástica na cadeira de diretor, além
de roteirizar o filme, criando uma típica atmosfera adolescente nos
tempos atuais, só que mais madura e emocionalmente disfuncional.
Saoirse Ronan arrasa como a adolescente revoltada, que leva o título
do filme, o que pode render sua terceira indicação ao Oscar, e se
possível, a sua primeira estatueta do Oscar. Laurie Metcalf dá um
show como a mãe da protagonista, e merece reconhecimento com, pelo
menos, uma indicação à Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante, sendo a química
entre ela e Ronan fantástica. Sendo um filme semi-autobiográfico
baseado nas experiências de Gerwig em uma escola católica, a
diretora consegue, no roteiro, entregar uma história original
refletindo os conflitos de uma estudante de último ano, o que Ronan
consegue fazer com perfeição, em sua performance digna de Oscar.
Indicado a 4 Globos de
Ouro (Melhor Filme – Comédia ou Musical, Melhor Atriz em Comédia
ou Musical – Saoirse Ronan, Melhor Atriz Coadjuvante – Laurie
Metcalf e Melhor Roteiro), Lady Bird: A Hora de Voar é uma estreia
fantástica de Greta Gerwig como diretora e entrega grandes
performances de seu elenco, assim como pode ser um dos maiores
candidatos no Oscar 2018 como Melhor Filme, Diretora, Atriz, Atriz
Coadjuvante e Roteiro Original!
Amei esse filme demais,
sendo até agora, o meu filme favorito dessa temporada de prêmios de
2017 e 2018!! Recomendo ele demais para vocês!! Nota: 9,5 de 10!!

Sacramento, California,
2002. The film tells the story of Christine McPherson (Ronan), who
self-titles herself as Lady Bird, a senior student at a Catholic high
school. About to reach adulthood, she desires to go to New York City
for college, although her mother (Metcalf), with whom she has a
turbulent relationship, protests about it, and while she's not in
college, friends, romantic relationships and first experiences are
part of her journey in Sacramento.
To start this off, I'd
like to say that I've been waiting to see this film since it was
shown at Telluride in September, and it was critically acclaimed. I
hoped it was a mature coming-of-age film, and that's exactly what I
got as a birthday gift. Greta Gerwig, the eternal Frances Ha, has a
stunning debut in the director's chair, besides writing the script of
the film, creating a typical adolescent atmosphere in modern times,
only more mature and emotionally dysfunctional. Saoirse Ronan steals
the screen as the revolted teenager, who is named after the title of
the film, and it might give her her third Oscar nomination, and
maybe, her first Academy Award. Laurie Metcalf is wonderful as the
main character's mother, and she deserves recognition with, at least,
a Best Supporting Actress nomination, with a fantastic chemistry
between her and Ronan. As a semi-autobiographical film based on
Gerwig's experiences at a Catholic high school, the director excels,
in her script, to deliver an original story reflecting a senior
student's conflicts, and Ronan can act it with perfection, in her
Oscar-worthy performance.
Nominated for 4 Golden
Globes (Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actress –
Musical or Comedy – Saoirse Ronan, Best Supporting Actress –
Laurie Metcalf, Best Screenplay), Lady Bird is a stunning directing
debut for Greta Gerwig, and delivers great performances from its
cast, and it might be one of the main contenders for the 2018 Academy
Awards in Best Picture, Director, Actress, Supporting Actress and
Original Screenplay!!
I loved this film, as
it is, so far, my favorite film in this 2017-2018 award season!! I
highly recommend it for you guys!! I give it a 9,5 out of 10!!
