E aí, galerinha de
cinéfilos! Estou de volta, e prestes a viajar, assim como o
protagonista do filme que irei analisar nessa resenha. Depois dos
eventos decisivos de “Vingadores: Ultimato”, nós precisávamos
de um filme como esse. Um filme leve, divertido, visualmente
hipnotizante e até cheio de reviravoltas. Então, vamos falar sobre
“Homem-Aranha: Longe de Casa”. Vamos lá!

I'm back, and about to travel, just like the protagonist of the film
I'm going to analyze in this review. After the decisive events of
“Avengers: Endgame”, we needed a film like this. A light, fun,
visually hypnotizing and surprisingly twisted film. So, let's talk
about “Spider-Man: Far from Home”. Let's go!)
Depois dos eventos de
“Vingadores: Ultimato”, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) deseja tirar
férias de sua persona de super-herói, e se aproximar de MJ
(Zendaya) durante uma viagem escolar. O que ele não contava é que
Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) o recrutaria para derrotar seres de
outro mundo, com a ajuda de Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal), um herói
de uma realidade alternativa.
(After the events of
“Avengers: Endgame”, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) wishes to have a
little time out of his superhero persona, and to get closer to MJ
(Zendaya) during a school trip. What he wasn't counting on is that
Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) would recruit him to defeat beings from
another world, with the help of Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal), a
hero from an alternate reality.)
Quem me conhece sabe
que eu adoro o Homem-Aranha, em especial a versão do Tom Holland.
Além dele se parecer com um adolescente, como o personagem era
imaginado nos quadrinhos, ele é divertido, inteligente, e muito
carismático. Eu adorei as aparições dele em “Guerra Civil”,
amei o primeiro filme solo dele e chorei bastante naquele momento de
“Guerra Infinita”. Pelo fato desse filme ser depois de
“Ultimato”, que provavelmente, é o filme da Marvel com a maior
carga emocional, esperei que ele fosse mais leve, que tivesse um
contraste, como foi o que aconteceu com “Guerra Infinita” e
“Homem-Formiga e a Vespa”. E foi exatamente o que eu recebi. É
um filme levíssimo, mas que nos lembra constantemente dos momentos
finais de “Ultimato” para a melancolia não sumir completamente,
e esse contraste entre o senso de humor do personagem com o que ele
está sentindo no filme funciona muito bem. O roteiro, escrito por
dois roteiristas de “Homem-Aranha: De Volta ao Lar”, é bem
engenhoso e muito inteligente. Só tem um porém: se alguma pessoa
souber algo sobre um dos personagens-chave do filme, tudo se torna
previsível, você já sabe pra onde o filme irá mesmo sem
assisti-lo. Eu pensei que o filme ia revirar tudo isso, dar um plot
twist daqueles, mas isso não aconteceu. Mesmo com esse aspecto me
deixando um pouco frustrado, eu gostei bastante do roteiro, que é
leve, divertido, cheio de reviravoltas e um pouco mais ambicioso do
que o do primeiro filme.
Qualquer erro ou
previsibilidade do roteiro que eu poderia ter notado sumiu
rapidamente durante as DUAS cenas pós-créditos. É uma mais
incrível que a outra. Uma te dá uma pista para o que a Fase 4 do
MCU guarda para o herói, e a outra te faz rever o MCU inteiro desde
o primeiro filme do Homem de Ferro. Sério mesmo, fiquem para ver as
cenas pós-créditos, vocês não irão se arrepender!
(Who really knows me
knows that I love Spider-Man, especially Tom Holland's version of
him. Other than the fact that he actually looks like a teenager, as
the comics imagined him, he's fun, clever and has charisma to spare.
I loved his appearances during “Civil War” and his first solo
movie, and I bawled my eyes out during that pivotal scene in
“Infinity War”. Because of the fact that this movie is set after
“Endgame”, which is probably the most emotionally charged Marvel
movie yet, I expected it to be lighter, with a contrast, very much
alike what happened to “Infinity War” and “Ant-Man and the
Wasp”. And that's exactly what I got. It's light like a feather,
but it constantly reminds us of Endgame's final moments, so that the
melancholy doesn't fully walk away, and that contrast between the
character's sense of humor and what he's feeling during the movie
works really well. The script, written by two screenwriters from
“Spider-Man: Homecoming”, is really clever and has lots of heart.
There's just one thing: if anyone knows anything from a key character
in this movie, it all becomes predictable, you know where the movie
will be going before you watch it. I thought the movie would turn
this around, and give one hell of a plot twist, but that didn't
happen. Even with that aspect leaving me a little bit frustrated, I
really liked the script, which is light, fun, filled with twists and
a little more ambitious than the first one.
Any kind of mistake or
predictability in the script that I maybe noticed quickly disappeared
during the TWO post-credit scenes. They're both amazing. One gives
you a clue on where the character will go on Phase 4 of the MCU and
the other makes you rewatch the entire MCU all the way from the first
Iron Man movie. Really, stick around for the post-credit scenes, you
will not regret it!)
É difícil falar do
elenco sem falar de spoilers, mas irei tentar fazer o meu melhor. Tom
Holland, como esperado, dá um show como o Homem-Aranha. O Peter está
emocionalmente machucado pelos eventos de “Ultimato”, e nós
conseguimos sentir isso junto com o personagem através da atuação
do Tom Holland. Mas mesmo com essa melancolia, ele não perde o senso
de humor que fez dele um personagem adorado pelos fãs do MCU. Eu
gostei muito mais da Zendaya aqui. Ela tem mais personalidade e muito
mais cenas aqui, o que, para uma personagem importante para o
Homem-Aranha como a MJ, é muito bom. O Samuel L. Jackson tem um
papel mais forte aqui como Nick Fury, ele é imponente, furioso, mas
surpreendentemente engraçado. Uma coisa que gostei bastante aqui é
que os roteiristas dão mais cenas para personagens que não tiveram
tempo o suficiente para se desenvolverem em filmes anteriores do MCU.
Isso inclui Cobie Smulders como Maria Hill, Angourie Rice como Betty
Brant, Tony Revolori como Flash Thompson, Martin Starr como Prof.
Harrington e Jon Favreau como Happy Hogan, que apareceu em vários
filmes do MCU, incluindo o primeiro filme do Aranha, mas que não
teve um desenvolvimento igual o daqui. O Jacob Batalon, o JB Smoove e
a Marisa Tomei são os alívios cômicos do filme, como Ned Leeds,
Julius Dell e May Parker, respectivamente, eles são muito divertidos
de se ver, e têm um timing cômico perfeito. Mas quem rouba a cena é
o Jake Gyllenhaal como Quentin Beck. Sem querer dar spoilers, e isso
pode parecer exagerado, mas ele merece muito reconhecimento por esse
papel, pois o desenvolvimento dele durante esse filme é
surpreendente.
(It's hard to talk
about the cast without spoiling anything, but I'll try to do my best.
Tom Holland, as expected, is a showstopper as Spider-Man. Peter is
emotionally damaged because of Endgame, and we can feel that along
with the character through Tom Holland's performance. But even though
he has this melancholy inside him, he doesn't lose that sense of
humor that made him a beloved character for MCU fans. I liked Zendaya
a whole lot more here. She has more personality, and a lot of more
scenes here, which, for a character as important for Spider-Man as
MJ, is really good. Samuel L. Jackson has a stronger role here as
Nick Fury, he is imposing, furious, but surprisingly funny. One thing
I really liked in this movie is that the screenwriters give more
screen time to characters who didn't have enough time to develop
themselves in previous MCU films. That includes Cobie Smulders as
Maria Hill, Angourie Rice as Betty Brant, Tony Revolori as Flash
Thompson, Martin Starr as Mr. Harrington and Jon Favreau as Happy
Hogan, who appeared in several movies in the MCU, including Spidey's
first film, but his development is way more well done here. Jacob
Batalon, JB Smoove and Marisa Tomei are the film's comic reliefs, as
Ned Leeds, Julius Dell and May Parker, respectively, they are really
fun to watch and all three of them have a perfect comic timing. But
the real scene stealer is Jake Gyllenhaal as Quentin Beck. I don't
want to spoil anything, and this may sound a bit exaggerated, but he
deserves recognition for this role, because his development during
this film is freaking amazing.)
Assim como todo filme
da Marvel, é um espectáculo nos aspectos técnicos. A fotografia é
muito bonita, a direção de arte, especialmente nas cenas
ambientadas na Europa, é exuberante, assim como o design dos
figurinos, em especial os uniformes do Homem-Aranha e do Mysterio.
Mas o que se destaca mesmo aqui, em termos técnicos, são os efeitos
especiais. São hipnotizantes, muito realistas e nos fazem perguntar
se o que estamos vendo é real ou não. Pra mim, “Homem-Aranha:
Longe de Casa” tem o melhor uso de efeitos especiais em um filme do
MCU desde a psicodelia extraordinária de “Doutor Estranho”. Há
algumas conexões à filmes anteriores da Marvel, com “Ultimato”
sendo o mais referenciado aqui, por ser ambientado meses depois, e é
muito interessante perceber essas conexões, o que leva o espectador
a rever os filmes anteriores para pegar todas as referências.
(Just like every Marvel
movie, it is a technical marvel. The cinematography is stunning, the
art direction, especially in the scenes set in Europe, is exuberant,
just like the costume design, particularly Spider-Man and Mysterio's
uniforms. But what really stands out here, in technical aspects, are
the special effects. They are hypnotizing, incredibly realistic, and
make us question if what's in the screen is real or not. For me,
“Spider-Man: Far from Home” has the best use of special effects
in an MCU film since the extraordinary psychedelia of “Doctor
Strange”. There are some connections to previous Marvel movies,
with Endgame being the most referenced here, for being set months
after, and it's really interesting to notice these connections, which
leads the viewer to rewatch the previous movies in order to catch all
the references.)
Resumindo,
“Homem-Aranha: Longe de Casa” é o filme perfeito para levantar o
astral dos fãs depois de “Vingadores: Ultimato”. É um filme
leve, divertido, cheio de referências, cujas cenas pós-créditos
sugerem um futuro brilhante para o MCU.

“Spider-Man: Far from Home” is the perfect movie to give the
audience a warm hug after the emotionally charged “Avengers:
Endgame”. It's a light, fun movie, filled with references, and its
post-credit scenes suggest a bright future to the MCU.
I give it a 9,0 out of
