"A Tale of Two Stans" é o décimo-segundo episódio da segunda temporada da série de animação estadunidense "Gravity Falls: Um Verão de Mistérios", criada por Alex Hirsch, sendo o trigésimo-segundo episódio no total. O ep. é dirigido por Sunil Hall, e estrelado pelas vozes de Jason Ritter, Kristen Schaal, Alex Hirsch e J.K. Simmons. Foi exibido pela primeira vez na televisão estadunidense em 13 de Julho de 2015.

O episódio começa exatamente depois do espetacular episódio anterior, onde Stanley "Stan" Pines (voz de Hirsch) consegue ativar um portal trans-dimensional, trazendo seu irmão gêmeo de seis dedos, Stanford Pines (voz de Simmons), de volta à Terra, se revelando como o Autor dos Diários. Stanford fica nervoso com Stanley por algo, e a partir daí, começa um flashback, voltando 50 anos atrás dos eventos atuais, contando a história dos gêmeos quando eles eram crianças, adolescentes, jovens adultos e os anos iniciais na fase adulta, com sua amizade e rompimento.

O ep. é simplesmente incrível. O ep. anterior, "Not What He Seems", na minha opinião, foi o melhor episódio da série inteira. Com esse episódio seguindo exatamente os acontecimentos anteriores, Hirsch mostrou que Gravity Falls é uma série de altíssimo potencial. Pra mim, essa série já devia ter ganhado um filme no cinema, há muito tempo. Adorei esse episódio! Super recomendo para os fãs de Gravity Falls!!

"A Tale of Two Stans" is the twelfth episode of the second season of the American animated series "Gravity Falls", created by Alex Hirsch, being the thirtieth-second episode overall. It is directed by Sunil Hall, and starred by the voices of Jason Ritter, Kristen Schaal, Alex Hirsch and J.K. Simmons. It premiered on Disney XD on July 13th, 2015.

The episode starts exactly after the spectacular previous episode, "Not What He Seems", where Stanley "Stan" Pines (voiced by Hirsch) could activate a trans-dimensional portal, bringing his six-fingered twin brother, Stanford Pines (voiced by Simmons), back to Earth, revealing himself as the Author of the Journals. Stanford gets angry at his brother for some reason, and starting from that moment, it begins a flashback, set 50 years ago, telling the story of the twins in their childhood, teenage, young adult and starting adult phases of life, with their friendship and break-up.

The episode is simply amazing. The previous one, "Not What He Seems", I consider it to be the best episode in the entire series. With the episode following exactly what happened before, Hirsch showed us that Gravity Falls is a series of really high potential. For me, the series could become a theatrical film, a long time ago. I totally loved this episode. I highly reccomend it to Gravity Falls fans!!!
